Hi to All;
I'm new to the forum and first time scooter buyer.

I bought 2 Taotao's (his/hers) of course.

First thing: let me say (I'M Not AN ENGINEER) but; consider myself a highly knowledgeable "problem solver" .

Been having a ball on my CY-150A until a week ago riding to work I heard a bad "clicking/grinding" sound from the front wheel area and the speedo was going stupid.
I knew where to go first. unscrewed the speedo cable from the drive at the wheel and spun the cable with my finger (no trouble from there up" seems fine.
Took the front wheel off. insected the drive mech and ta' dah"-- the drive unit is sheaded---lookes like steel wool metal shavings

Gezzzzz I hit "post" before i finished
Anyway; I installed a Bell F20 bike speedo on it and it's the wired version. lookes great and triggers just fine. I bored one for the rotor holes (not where the disk pads ride)a little larger for the magnet and J-B welded it and mouned the pickup at the bottom of the front fork-- you gotta look hard to see i did anything to the area. took the guts out of the old speedo drive unit and left it looking stock. math for the F20 is not working out though-- circu. of the tire is pretty close to 85.2-- let do the math here-------58.2 inches = 1478.28 mm rounding it to 1478
I entered that number into the F20 and selected it for M/ph--- here ya' go --- are you ready for this???? at what i know and feel to be 45mph the F20 reads that I'm doing 87 MPH ---LOL!!!
Just need to know if someone has done it like this and what #'s they used for the 120/70-12 series tire.
I read on the forum that alot of you choose to use a GPS-- I guess I could -- I have a Magellan but; the mph font on it is really same. I can clearly see the Bell F20-- just want to get it dialed in
thanks now to all that reply

Well, it seems to me it is just reading 2x the speed, so enter the wheel size as 739.
