Likely a broken belt or clutch... the variator is unlikely, I have never seen one seized...the rollers go sideways sometimes.. but the rear wheel will still move...
The variator woodruff key may have broken on the crank or the guy didn't put it on if he removed the variator...
Could be the rear wheel spline is finished...as well
I sure wouldn't pay much for it however...depending on the year, condition and mileage maybe $200 tops

Thanks sprocket
I guess he's selling because can't get parts for that model Diamo Velux, even at 200 it would still be a
headache to upkeep... based on other owners postings on other forums -- savy

It is a weird flip top.. but most of the parts are Kymco or Sym as I understand...many things like the GY6 carbs, brakes etc would fit etc... If the price is right... ?

Why don't you just take the CVT cover off and look?

Guy hasn't called me back after I told him to check the CVT belt, rear wheel, tranny, etc.... still waiting.

Me personally, if he doesn't check it that's good because he's thinking it's a project now and I bet it could be fixed cheap and easy. Use that to leverage him for a low price. If he can't be bothered to check that makes it a headache for him and he just wants it gone. Don't be afraid to lowball on a project scooter.
