www.tngscooters.com/default.aspxI took a ride out to the CMSI/TNG "manufacturing" facility in Preston, Wa on Sunday. Of course it was closed. If you look at the picture here.. www.cmsiinc.com/default.aspxThey don't occupy the whole building. They are located in a "Light Industrial Condominium" kind of thing. They are in the end unit. The first two truck docks are theirs and the others in the picture appeared to belong to their next door neighbors.

So, what are you saying about TNG/CMSI?

So, what are you saying about TNG/CMSI? "CMSI, Inc. is a growing motor sports distributor with headquarters near Seattle, Washington USA. CMSI is a leader in designing, distributing, manufacturing, marketing and supporting affordable, high value motor scooters, and related motorsports products worldwide" Their factory/distribution center in the US is two garage doors wide.

When TNG "was" manufacturing in the US, I thought it was being done in North Carolina, not Washington.

Are the letters C M S I really over the door, or were they photoshopped in?

I heard from a now "former" local dealer of TNG scoots that CMSI is all done importing scooters into the USA.....he also states there is no parts support either......my friend bought his last 2008 Lowboy at a closeout price with the understanding there will be no warranty support......

Are the letters C M S I really over the door, or were they photoshopped in? The letters CMSI are really over the door. There is an actual real business there. It's just not anywhere as large as implied. There are 6 or 7 businesses in the entire building. CMSI occupies a fairly small portion of the building.

I have a web hosting business and I use photographs of the datacenter where my servers are located as if my biz fills and manages the entire datacenter -- I am just a couple servers among hundreds.

Ok...here's my 2 cents..
While I too have heard and read here and on other forums of the less than stellar performance of TNG as a brand, I must admit my dealings with them were very positive. My first scooter purchase was an 05 TnG Milano 150 purchased from Wheeling Cycle in Wheeling WV. I had a great experience with this scoot and racked up about 4000 miles in the year that I owned it. It topped out at about 63mph. I sold it the following year on ebay and acquired my present 06 CF Moto Fashion 250 from Baron.
The one warranty problem I had, a cracked air box support, was taken care of right away by the dealer.

Smells more like crap to me! CMSI is done... Bobette told one of my friends who is a dealer to go f*** off when he complained about slow warranty parts. And Greg James? What a joke! The ultimate used car salesman! We are still waiting for MCOs on bikes we bought and paid for 5 months ago! What does that mean? We're sitting on aging inventory that we CANNOT sell!
TNG does NOT manufacture anything in the USA and they haven't for a long time now, and if you think you're buying American, think again! These bikes come straight from China just like all the rest.
It's really funny that Greg James is thinking about taking over TNG when he can't even afford to pay for the scooters I already paid him for, or return a $1000 deposit that a friend gave them. He is a used car lot with some scooters on the side, that's all, and if you do business with him, let the buyer beware, because he's a scam artist!

huh! a year ago i was considering a Baja 150...couldn't get them to drop ship it. couldn't get a dealer here in anchorage to agree to receive it. i noticed their website is still going strong. i had no illusions that they were a "manufacturer" and on their site, they make a big deal about how everything from sony to nike is made in china...but you have to search for it. interesting...

Rode out to Preston today. The building where CMSI was a year ago is some utility contractor now.
