In february of this year, I was in the market looking to buy a new moped, I had just got my college money and I needed a set of wheels to get to and from work.
I done some shopping around, I called every local dealer around me within 100 miles that sold the "off brand" scoots, most of them were either closed till the beginning of May or they did not have any scooters in stock, so I got one online.
I chose EVO SALES because I thought they sold the same quality as everyone else, and in their advertising they "claim" their scooters were (quote from their website) "reliable, quality scooter; it's fun to ride and handling is superb" first just let me state that NOTHING ABOUT THAT IS TRUE.
I ordered a scooter from them on the 18th, I paid $899 for a 2009 150cc "Speedster" model (handsome boy design). I ordered a blue/white scooter (according to their choices when I placed the order). A Few days went by I never got any notice that they shipped my item, I called them on the 21st, their phones were messed up so "Moises" called me back via his personal cell phone, he advised me my scoot had shipped the day before and gave me a tracking number and told me that ESTES EXPRESS was the frieght carrier.
Everything sounded great, I got a call from the carrier (ESTES EXPRESS) on thursday the 25th he wanted to arrange a drop off time, we agreed on one then he advised me they had NO residential liftgate available, even though it was included in the purchase price ($899 included shipping), finally after being on the phone arguing with them for a half hour they finally said, ok we will hire a private carrier to bring it to your house tomorrow. The bike arrived, the crate was damaged in three places and the box that went around it was open at the top. After opening it and inspecting the scoot it was damaged on almost every piece of plastic. I tried to refuse the shipment but the carrier refused to take it back.
I called EVO SALES, they agreed to ship me replacement plastics, I sent them ALL the pictures of the damages, they sent me the plastic under the right floorboard and the front cowl (the part in front of the dash). I also had a bad battery/coil and CDI unit, when I called and asked for replacements Moises shipped me the coil/cdi and a battery with no acid and no CAPS!
i'm still to this day having issues with this scooter, and the seller offers no kind of appoligies, offered no kind of refund whatsoever, I even requested to return this SCOOTER the DAY it was delivered and THEY REFUSED it!
So now it is my job to put the "word" out there so other people do not get ripped of by these people.... Their names are RONY and MOISES.
Their personal cell numbers are Moises 323-620-4789, Rony 323-244-6230...THIS IS HELPFULL INFORMATION FOR FUTURE VICTIMS OF THEIRS.
Now that I have put my word here, I'm going to find other places and other websites to post my story at. Its already on RIPOFFREPORT.com and its been posted other places already. By the time I get done with these peeps they will wish they took their business back to India
