your gonna have to bore the case or get a smaller kit make sure your locator dowels are in the right place before you start boring try oiling the hell outta of it and tapping it on with a rubber mallet first

never had to bore the case its not common the exhaust is a good loud not ridiculous sounds awesome ive posted vids of the exhaust several times its no where near harley loud just dont full throttle when near home there will be no need i think his dowels are in the wrong place or it needs oiled and tapped with a rubber mallet and yes its the same kit but get it in silver the black exhaust turns gold

Do you have an older Baja SC50?..or any other brand of scoot with a QJ engine? They don't fit that engine without case boring. Not sure why QJ made the engine that way instead of like most others did. Also many of the Znen engines have different part requirements.Znen makes the Puma and Amor scooters.

I've seen this before. Your going to either split the cases, remove the crank, and replace all the seals after you reinstall the crank after you bore the case or buy a smaller bbk.

Yes....but what scoot do you have?...there are a few QMB139/GY6 50cc anomalies out there.. all 3 were 139qmb..long&short case.. jonway/Cy50-A/sunny MCJ-L4 never once had a problem unless it was my error. Well then you were lucky... and how would his incorrect dowel pin placement make the engine case bore to small for the new cylinder??? Btw you are not talking to an idiot...I suggest you read the link below...it will explain other things folks do not know.. ...then do some research about QMB139 anomalies..as there are more.... Here is an expert from the link. QJ139QMB-3 and QJ1P39QMB-3 anomaly engine tech facts Hey MO! I've got this QJ engine in my Baja Sun City SC50, it's also found in the Vento Triton, and MotoMojo Roadster 50. I'm just confused about what parts fit what?Yes, that is a pretty unique engine. We call it the QJ anomaly. This engine is fundamentally the same, with these differences: 1) The aperture in the crankcase for the cylinder is slightly smaller, making big bore kits difficult without some modification2) The belt size is unique, using the 836-17-30, which we have here. To confuse things a little, it seems the Vento and MotoMojo uses an 891-17-30 belt. 3) The QJ anomoly uses 21mm 2stroke JOG engine variators, rollers and rear clutch pulleys, which are available here. 4) The belt cover is unique also 5) These are often fitted with disc brakes in the rear, making some of these components difficult to acquire. 6) The carburetors that are fitted on these use a different type than standard 139qmb. We would recommend changing the carb to the more common type. This 'idiot"..(me)..has lots more info on QMB139 anomalies and variances... Used to sell scooters...now I just run a repair/parts shop. I have seen nearly every engine made out there..pass through my doors. I will post more links later. Btw...if every BBK fit....why do you think EVERY big bore distributor puts a disclaimer on the product "May not fit all engines, check your engine before ordering" Glenn www.scrappydogscooters.com/Tech_Talk_with_Mo_.htmlwww.monsterscooterparts.com/494gy6scenau.html says.... PLEASE NOTE: There are many different versions of 50cc GY6 style 4-stroke engines used in the Chinese scooter market. Please be sure to check the detailed specifications and dimensions on our specifications page (tab titled "Specs") prior to ordering.

not looking forward to the day someone brings me one of those variants No you are not! The QJ uses a diff carb..and get this...a splined minarelli type variator...and minarelli type clutch and driven wheel. Other variations are the QMB139 that Znen puts out. Beautifully crafted and top notch quality...the Cadillac of GY6 50cc engines though....but some parts are specific to them as well. But Znen is well worth the money spent on one.

carasdad... i dont recall me calling you an idiot. I simply stated the fact that I PERSONALLY have not run into that issue. Yes im VERY aware of those anomalies...chances are yep he sure could have one. I was referring him to check the dowels to make sure it wasn't those the were causing it not to seat correctly. rather then jumping right to the conclusion that it was one of those motors. Could have been an oversite in how he assembled it. I like to work out every possible solution before i say "ahhh sh!t,i got one of these"

hopefully to the OP...he doesnt have one of those monsters. Hope not too bro..cause if so...he'd better get some good practice at saying" Oh sh!t...this piece don't fit either" ;D That's one bad thing about Ebay..some buyers are just out to sell...will tell ya anything. When I bought my Hoca 2 stroke BBK from there....one seller claimed his generic brand kit would add 70% more power to my scoot....and mph. I almost bought his...but it already goes 50 GPS...and that 70% increase would have put me at about 85 mph...not sure I was ready for that... ....Lmao....

You might need the shorter style rocker arms for the valves? That's what I did to my Tao Tao qmb139. Allows room for the cylinder cover to go on.

millsc - I have a 2008 Roketa Bahama 50. Basically the same scoot you have except from Roketa. I am petty sure it has the 64mm valves even though its a 1P139QMB. Have had then valve cover off to adjust the valves and dont remember them looking as tall the pics of the 69mm ones.

But Znen is well worth the money spent on one. I agree with you carasdad, my puma amor (Znen) is an excellent machine, especially now that I've done some basic tuning. I'm a little unnerved though - what if mine is an "anomaly" that won't take a standard 100cc kit that I'm hoping to put on it? It would suck to have to bore the case.
