Today I put together a retro scooter together for a customer that ordered it. I get going down the road and the acceleration sucks. We checked the valves and the carb is good. It has the 1P39QMB but it has the acceleration of a 139QMB. It have also noticed that the other scooters I put together today will boot scoot n boogy down the road. Like they will rev up to 8k rpm and then come on down to 6.7-7k rpm. This one probably gets up to 6k and wont rev any higher on acceleration. I do not know the top speed it will reach since its still in the break in period.
Would the rollers be causing this? I dont know what these things come with stock but its just so sluggish compared to the others.

So what's the definitive difference between a 1P39QMB and a 139QMB since you seem to have an idea?

Have you checked that the Throttle is actually opening the Slide all the way or if it has a CV type carb that the throttle is opening the Butterfly all the way? Check if the Throttle cable needs to be adjusted. If all is ok and its a CV carb take the Filter off and watch the Cylinder with the needle and see if when wide open it goes all the way to the top. If it doesn't then check the diaphragm for rips or holes. Alleyoop

Im hoping its just a simple issue thats preventing it from getting up to speed. Im sure the throttle cable is opening up all the way because when I twist it I can hear the carb click which tells me that its opening up all the way. It doesnt sound like its running lean or else these little motors would be spark knocking like mad.
And to define the 1P39QMB, its a factory 60cc engine that has a lot more "sh!t n git" than the 139QMB.
