Cracked and broken body panels - Best way to fix?

Hi, I had given my scooter to a friend to ride around and he ended up going too fast on a turn and couldn't control it. He dropped it hard and broke a bunch of the panels. I don't really want to pay a ton of money to buy new panels since they are just cosmetic, but I don't want my moped looking so messed up.

What's the best/cheapest way to glue these panels and cracks? The glue has to be pretty strong in some areas, and in other areas it doesn't need to be. I've heard about bondo, but don't know if that's what I should be using. Any of you guys have any ideas of what I should use to glue these parts back together?

Body panels are not too hard to find, I'd bet doing a quick search online might yield good results. If it's true that your "friend" laid it down, I'd make him/her buy the panels.....Just my opinion

I would think about plastic welding it. Then, JB WELDING the backside of the whole area (for strength...)

I'd say its fairly relevent to you. I was fixing mounting tabs, but for a broken panel the technique is similar, if not the same...

-Clean all the parts
-Fit and tape the broken/cracked pieces together. (DO A REALLY GOOD JOB HERE. Where you set it, is where its gonna stay! lol)
-Melt a channel about 75% of the way through the panel. (working on the BACK SIDE OF THE PANEL. )

-"borrow" material from each side of the channel to fill it. Work one side, then the other, so it "folds" over itself from both sides of the crack...

-then VERY HEAVILY coat the entire crack and about 3-4 inches on either side of it, so you essentially have a 6-8 inch wide stripe of JB WELD all along the area.
-Let it cure (DO NOT RUSH THIS)
-Then its fixed. It just needs to be addressed from the front. Sanding/filling/painting.

It WILL be strong. I had to fix my front panel when this lady opened her car door on me at 15MPH... I wasn't hurt, but plastic was literally hanging off the scoot.

I fixed it, and painted the whole scoot flat black... the "murdered out maui" was born...

Now, I am going back and re-painting the scoot Gloss Orange. I happen to have the piece I fixed sitting in my living room... here are some pics. Keep in mind, These pics are new, and the work is old... Its been painted over and sanded a lot to look this good. Its being sanded one more time right now, thats why you can see some scratches... I am about to give it its final coat and put it back on...

If you can find the panel you need and can afford them, you may want buy them instead. But they are EXPENSIVE! I wasn't gonna pay 50 bucks for this panel...

The JB Weld was NOT optional. It was 100% nessessary for reinforcement.

The body panels for my Baotian QT-9 can be purchased for £12 for the side panels.
