This project is a collaboration between myself and Indy50. Our starting goal is a 12 second 1/8th mile and improve from there.
Specs so far:
2006 Roketa MC-08 139QMB 82cc Big Bore Kit MRP Performance Head NCY Peformance Cam MRP Exhaust Fly Racing Handlebars 12" Front Tire / Rim 10" Rear Tire / Rim Quick Twist Throttle 6" Extended motor mount Front End Lowered 1 1/2" Bunch of little custom touches.
Here is how it arrived at the shop.
![[image] [image]](http://i465.photobucket.com/albums/rr16/antisocialsc/DSC01921.jpg)
We took it over to my hot rod buddies to get the motor mount fabed up.
![[image] [image]](http://i465.photobucket.com/albums/rr16/antisocialsc/DSC02010.jpg)
![[image] [image]](http://i465.photobucket.com/albums/rr16/antisocialsc/DSC02011.jpg)
![[image] [image]](http://i465.photobucket.com/albums/rr16/antisocialsc/DSC02014.jpg)
Threw some paint on it.
![[image] [image]](http://i465.photobucket.com/albums/rr16/antisocialsc/DSC02595.jpg)
![[image] [image]](http://i465.photobucket.com/albums/rr16/antisocialsc/DSC02593.jpg)
Put a little header wrap on the exhaust.
![[image] [image]](http://i465.photobucket.com/albums/rr16/antisocialsc/DSC02652.jpg)
Mock up.
![[image] [image]](http://i465.photobucket.com/albums/rr16/antisocialsc/DSC02760.jpg)
Rear Strut.
![[image] [image]](http://i465.photobucket.com/albums/rr16/antisocialsc/DSC02799.jpg)
Handlebar Mount.
![[image] [image]](http://i465.photobucket.com/albums/rr16/antisocialsc/DSC02781.jpg)
![[image] [image]](http://i465.photobucket.com/albums/rr16/antisocialsc/DSC02787.jpg)
Put some more paint on the body and put it together.
![[image] [image]](http://i465.photobucket.com/albums/rr16/antisocialsc/DSC02852.jpg)
Still need to run a couple cables, trim up the handlebars, and a few other odds and ends and it will be ready for some test runs.

Thanks Brent. Its still a work in progress but since your one heck of a mechanic that complement means a lot to me.
Unlike Medman who thinks its a ugly halloween scooter. LOL

One of my old midbikes was a naked halloween bike with an orange frame and black wheels. I built it specifically to be a halloween bike and had planned mean looking jack-o-lanterns on the fairings before I grew to like it bare. Trick or treat?

Very nice. I like the "hardtail" idea also. Now if I can get some free time and nice weather to mod mine.

I doubt it. Cutting some holes in it is about the most I would do for a daily driver.
She started today but still needs a little bit of work before its ready to test.

Nice lookin machine! Would the odds n ends include the air shroud & fan assembly? I'd hate to see all that work melt into some unrecognizable carbon alloy glop.

Nope no fan or shroud. Its just made for 1/8 mile passes so I dont think cooling will be a issue. Thanks!

Wow that scoot looks really sweet! All scoots look better in flat black with neon frames!
Interested to see the numbers on this, an interesting approach to start with a 50cc 4 stroke.

She is alive and running. However the valves are still a little off and the bike is now in the test / tune phase. The video below is the first time it has been rode and there will be a dramatic improvement in performance once we tune the trans.
Also I talked to Sandy the owner of http://www.browncountydragway.com and we are welcome to run down there. If we get enough scooters involved she is interested in doing trophies and maybe even a cash prize.
Things are looking up.

I'd say it's obvious that the tranny is out of tune for an eighth mile runner, but it's looking like a great start. Are you guys gonna take turns driving or just let the smaller Skipp run it on the track? I'd be interested to see the ET and trap speed variances with the differences in rider weight.
Oh, this will probably sound stupid to some of you... but are you going to fill the voids where the headlights were? Since you are going for an all out drag racing scooter, it could be mildly beneficial. This is regarding cars that travel at much higher trap speeds, but I know Mustang guys that have reported a few MPH from simple things like filling empty holes where fog lights used to be. I wouldn't expect a multiple MPH improvement, probably not even a single MPH given the speed and distance you'll be traveling, but it sure won't hurt. I can tell you from experience that even at lower speeds teh aerodynamics of your scoot will make a difference. I lost a few MPH when I stripped my scoot down even though it's lighter. A light fiberglass job or even some thin gauge aluminum would weigh next to nothing.

I just want to build em Ill let someone lighter race it. However I could run it down for a pass or two just to see what the difference would be. I was thinking about filling them in but never decided how to do it. Ill see what I can come up with.

The only thing done to the trans right now is 7.5G Dr. Pulley Slider weights. It does have a performance CDI not sure what good it does besides remove the rev limiter though. We have access to forged pistons if we ever run N02 and I believe that is in the works for next year. You have seen our only real test run so hard to tell if we are having any valve float issues. However we are planing to install some titanium valve springs in the next tear down. We also have a few more tricks up our sleeves but until we hit the track and get some time slips we wont know exactly what needs what.

Jeremy,
In one of your pictures you show your exhaust with header tape on it. I was just curious as to the benefits of installing this on a scooter? Does it increase HP by keeping the exhaust a little cooler? If so, is this something you would recommend me or anyone else doing to their scooter?

I THINK (Think) one reason to heat wrap the exhaust is becuase when the exhaust gases coo down they slow down. keeping the gases hot will get it out of the exhaust faster.
Where do the sell the springs and retianer's? i need a set. And the piston you where talking about, are you gonna share??lol..
Doug Actually what i need it a liquid cooled head.

I plan on experimenting with this but I think the springs for the 150cc head and 50cc head are interchangeable. Not 100% on that so let me test it first. Also If I do a run of forged pistons Ill make a few extra to put up on the website.
I could go for some liquid cooling, fuel injection, 4 valve head, and a race stator but hey we gotta start somewhere.
