Hi, This is my first post. I have owned a Roketa MC-54-250B for two trouble free weeks. It came with the Linhai motor, but the motor ID tag under the seat says it has the other motor! But this post has nothing to do with my scooter. I stumbled across this scooter today: www.mxmotorsports.us/Roketa-p/mc-14-250.htm It says it has a "169MM single cylinder, Wangye, 249.7 cc motor. Is this a third "250" motor, different than the CFMoto, and Linhai motors? The exhaust looks the same as my Linhai motored 54B.

The pics on the website show the Linhai 257 engine. If you have read the other posts here, you will notice that some scoots are coming through with the 257 Linhai engine but are tagged as a 244 CFMoto engine. Yours may be another case of such. I am beginning to wonder about the legality of what is being done here!

Ollie, This scooter looks like updated Linhai 260. I really like the front but I'm wondering what manufacturer is putting this together because it's not linhai.

czechmate, You know, I had not looked carefully at the other pics. It really does have Linhai 300 styling cues! There are some interesting features but also evidence of cheaper parts - look at the arm behind the rear seat. Curious!!

They have suprisingly large selection posted on the web site. It's all labeled Roketa and the pricing isn't bad either. I wonder if the front mask is compatible with the Linhai we have. The dash board looks more advanced too. Nik

It is probably an old type of chinese motor. The motor that the linhai 257cc was cloned from was the yamaha yp6 250 majesty sold in europe. It was a 249.5cc engine made by linhai in china. Roketa lists that scooter as having a speed limiter, and a top speed of 52.8 mph(probably) a misprint.? The 257cc engines(170mm) have 30mm carb with a 120 main jet. The 249.5cc yp6 yahama engine had a 28mm carb with a 130 main jet. Probably what this scoot has.

That is the WY250T-4 (WINDSTAR250), not a Roketa. I think ATVD is just making up MC numbers or they stole the photo from Zhejiang. The Windstar comes with either the 244.3cc (Europe) or the new 249.5cc engines (USA) and was launched at the Intermot show and Canton fair this year.
It is assembled and branded by Zhejiang Taizhou Wangye Power in Zhejiang PRC for various importers in Europe and now in the US. It looks like they are using the new Znen (Zhejiang Zhongneng Industrial Group) manufactured 249.5cc engine on this scooter, brand new to the USA.

Hello Big Guy: How much do you know about this engine? The scooter itself looks pretty good and if it has an engine produced by Znen then this could be a really sweet little ride for a great price. I had seen pictures of this scooter when I was surfing the net for Chinese made scooter but never saw one one a dealers web site
