This weekend I purchased a 2006 Bandit UC250z, it has been out of service for a few years and is in dire need of some TLC. I'm overwhelmed at the amount of support and information from the community here and I'm glad I came across the site! First thing on my list for this thing is to get it up and running, the previous owner said that it has a short somewhere and every time you turn the switch on it blows the inline fuse coming from the + battery lead. He has replaced the battery and coil but I'm not sure the coil and leads coming from the coil and distributor are hooked up correctly (I have a loose cable pictured going to the dist. I think this may be a ground?) and from my research I suspect the CDI may be bad. Here are some pics of the current state I will try to keep current pics and info up as I restore this scoot.

Basement flooded during storms this weekend Finally got that cleared up and got some time to work on the scooter. Getting started the connectors to the battery were in pretty bad shape... the negative feel off when I moved the cable: Here are the new ones: The main inline fuse case was broken and being held together with some clear tape... Replaced it with a standard auto blade fuse: Secured a few loose ends and hooked everything back up, turned the key and the main fuse (new 30amp blade) blew. Time to start tracing it down with a multimeter. Special thanks to fellow dawg 4back2 who posted the electrical diagram here: scootdawg.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=250ccengineandtrannsmission&action=display&thread=21630He is no longer active on the forums but I was able to reach him via email and he was happy to share the visio file so I could get a larger print of this... hopefully the Aeolus is close enough to my Bandit so that this helps me trace the issue down.
