Allworld, sorry I forgot to answer - JiaJue is the actual manufacturer in China, although they only show this body style in a 150 on their website. OSD is Oz Scooters Direct is the actual importer here in Australia who has it factory fitted with a 250cc engine. AIR BOX In anticparion of the new exhaust arriving, the previous week I drilled 3 holes using a 19mm spade bit on the under side of the airbox. It was a good placement area as little or no moisture got in during a heavy downpour I rode through for 30 mins. After opening up the airbox and running for a few days, I did a plug read and found that my scooter's carby was jetted slightly rich from the factory.

EXHAUST My new Carbon Fibre exhaust arrived for the JiaJue GTS 250, (I certainly wasn't expecting it to arrive so quickly) which was great because the set of 10gram rollers had arrived the day before - so I could also mod the rollers in the same session. The CF kit (cost me $250) included the following: 1x header pipe 1x CF muffler 1x mounting clamp 1x rubber strip 1x crush gasket 1x spring

After removing the original exhaust and cleaning up the exhaust port I applied a coating of Loctite 596 High Temp Silicone to both sides of the crush gasket. Then I coated the exhaust bolts in Permatex Threadlocker Blue Gel and slipped on the Header Pipe. After coating the end of the Header Pipe with a bit more Locktite 596 High Temp Silicone, I simply slid on the Carbon Fibre Muffler (held in place with it's spring) and cleaned up any excess silicone from the join. The supplied metal clamp lined up with the top bolt hole on the swingarm. I inserted a 10mm spacer between the clamps to prevent over-tightening. Once in place, I tightened up the acorn nuts at the exhaust port. You can see in the below pic the huge difference the new exhaust is in looks, not to mention a good 5kg's lighter and you should hear how it sounds! (more on that in a moment)

Roller comparison There are 8 (20x12mm) rollers in total. The black ones are the original rollers averaging 14 grams each for a total of 112 grams. The new rollers are the orange ones, each averaging 10 grams for a total of 80 grams. This should make quite a significant difference to the rev range and power curve.

RESULTS So here's the final result. It looks perfectly balanced especially with the lower 2 muffler bolts on the swingarm capped off. How does it sound? Tough! (the neighbours are gunna hate me even more!) It reminds me of my old 250 dirt bike with BBR exhaust (only more refined). You can stand behind 6-8 feet away and still feel the exhaust. At 4000 revs she's got just the perfect purr (keeps you within the law) but if you give it a quick stab or hold her flat you get a nice aggressive growl. On my first run out to my fav 1/4 mile straight, I heard an echo - only to realise it was actually a Harley Soft-tail behind me. We stabbed the exhaust at each roundabout - hmm, same rumble! ...and cracked them open in the straight after overtaking a truck @ 120kph. I was overtaken by the Harley shortly after but managed to stay close behind even up to 130kph before we ran out of road. In summary, the exhaust came back with a perfect straw like colour. It's added another 10kph to my top end (on the same road, same conditions). I did a plug read and found it was running at optimum (light brownish hue) so the free flow exhaust helped to correct the jetting. The rollers added another 1000 RPM's to my rev range so now I sit @ 3-4k for take-off's, 5k @ 60-80kph & around 6k @ 100kph. No flat spots and a nice quick slingshot at the lights! It looks like I found the same rush in my 250 scooter and I have with my 170 Maxx, remember it's all about the Ride and I couldn't asked for 2 better scooters

On the page where you show the space under the seat and the rear hand grips removed, it looks like the lettering on your scooter says it a 150cc engine. Whats that all about? Great post!!!!!!
