So i found out my problem is im going to need new jets
mine were setup for 90 degree weather here in charlotte and it's now 40 outside and the scoot is acting like it's running out of gas all the time because the air is more dense
where can i get jets for my scooter and how much larger should i go?

funny i have never had to rejet before, even when riding in 100 degree and then really cold when it was snowing once. something else is buggering you up.

what kind of jets do you need? 6mm 5mm? deloorto whats? shoot me an email. justin.turner@comcast.net funny i have never had to rejet before, even when riding in 100 degree and then really cold when it was snowing once. something else is buggering you up. no sorry it's not anything else this scooter was heavily tuned from the factory to run in NC from the dealer in the summer, most people here do not ride in the winter and it's a 50cc that was pushing 55mph faster then any other 50cc scooter they sell in my state the jet was already on the verge of pushing the warm climate now a drastic change in temp has caused the main jet to not be able to supply enough fuel to the engine thus causing the symptoms of a small jet at WOT it acts like it's loosing gas because the jet cant send out enough fuel & before you suggest i clean my jets i already have & no my fuel filter is not clogged it is 100% clean this scooter is only 1 year old

I always have to rejet for severe temperature changes. If you don't you probably are tuned very safe, and then you might run better in the cold weather. The more mods and the less restrictive the intake path, bigger carb, etc... the more I can notice the change in temperature affecting jetting. Looks like a Yamaha/Jog/Minarelli/1E40QMB engine in the pic, so I'd guess you'd wanna look for Mikuni VM11/22 main jets or a 6mm DellOrto should work as well. If I'm wrong on your engine type, hold off till someone else can tell you. The correct way to upjet without going through the tuning process would be to create a correction chart. Go HERE and scroll down to see how to do that. I have used that method and it worked well for me. Don't forget to adjust your idle mixture setting as well.

huh, i had a 70 polini aluminum with 21 dellorto no airfilter big 4 petal reed block, polini evo race pipe. did not have to change the jetting, i had to move the needdle one clip cause the colder weather was hitting harder and i also had to adjust the air fuel mixcture screw. Maybe i was just lucky?

My experience is the same as bigdorkfoot. I never had to compensate for temperature in jetting when the temps were between 90 and 40 degrees F.

The indicated difference in jet sizes is +3 (rounded up). Since these small engines have a tolerance of about ±5 from optimal, you shouldn't need to adjust unless you are already running lean.

It really surprises me how few seem to notice anything. I can definitely tell a difference on my scoots as I said above. A friends 150cc with a muffler and K&N is the same way. If I leave it jetted for summer temps when the winter rolls around the thing is a dog. It helps to adjust the idle mix and needle, but it's still not right on the main circuit.

what would be an example. Changing the jetting from a 92 to a 90? or more severe?

I keep up with mine to a point where I usually don't move more than a step in jetting. The 150 sits all the time and it might go from a 105 to a 115 from the peak of summer to the coldest of winter, but we're talking a pretty big variation there. My 99cc 2T used to like 98-105 depending on temps. MD has a pretty big temp swing though, and I will ride when it's cold. At one part of the year I may go out and ride when it's 20 degrees at night, and then in the summer I may be out on a 95 degree day.

WOW! If you are not up jetting in the winter, you were running rich in the summer! That means you were not getting the most out of you motor. I would go up two Jet sizes, do a plug chop and see where you are at?

I'm fortunate that the temps here only vary from 30 to 65.
