Hi! I'm new to this forum and kinda new to the scooter world (3 months). I have an Iscooter 50cc classic. While it is durable and gets me around, it is incredibly slow! I mean 25-30 miles per hour. Going up hills it's probably 15 mph. I am selling it to my brother and am ready to order a 150cc scooter today. I've been looking at the Tao Tao ,Roketa, and Tank brands of scooters. I just want to make the right decision this time when buying a scooter as well as which online merchant to choose instead of the 50cc scooter mistake. Would like some to hear some opinions. Thank you.

I had a good scooter so far from Mxmotorsports. I got what they call a Roketa MC75-150 scooter. On the side it says YY-150T-12 13 inch wheels 999.00 with shipping included the trucking company calls you for a good time to lift gate the crate down where you want it. You open the box and look to see if there is any damage. Then you send them back the VIN # and model information on the scooter for a MCO that I am on day 2 of waiting for. I did a post delivery inspection of the outside the scooter and around the engine tightened some bolts and screws and had no problems so far. I shopped around over 10 online scooter places at specs and prices and it was what I was looking for within my price I wanted to spend. www.mxmotorsports.us/Default.asp

Easy to drive , stable and light weight I too have a Jonway with close to 23,000 miles so far. It has been an exceptionally good machine. Mine is a 2008 model so I don't know if they even sell Jonway's anymore, but if they do it's worth taking a look at.

My Jonway was manufactured in March 2012! That's what the nameplates say in front of the seat and on the side by the fan. I wish places would name their product the same as what its manufactured name. I guess MC-150-75 sells better than YY-150T-12. I hope I can get over 20,000 miles on mine with regular maintenance.

If OP can find a tao tao powermax 150, I would recommend it.

I think I'm close to deciding on getting the Roketa 150cc Scooter Type 07K from superiorpowersports...
Nah, scratch that! Out of stock. I'll keep looking.
I'm browsing the mxmotorsports website. They're not open. I'll check monday. It looks to be between a Roketa 150 or TAO TAO POWERMAX-150.

Jonway is way better . TaoTaos are throwaway scooters Thats just not true. I am sorry you had a bad experience, but you are 1/16 people I know that had that problem. The rest of us are doing just fine. Perhaps Jonway has slightly better quality control, but right now there is one person who got the bad Jonway saying the same thing about that brand. I suppose it is pointless to debate this. But there are so many worse ways you could go than either of these brands. Just my two cents.
