I put an upgraded fan on my vento thought it would help the cooling. Wrong with the aftermarket fan cht was 370 - 410 way to high. I put the stock one in last night, ran about 70 degrees cooler on mywayto work. Don't be fooled aftermarket fans don't work.

I'm glad I didn't do and damage to the engine running that hot.

Temperature meter resource. Also interesting that, based on the images, the two Genuine Buddy 125 scooters that completed Scooter Cannonball Run 2012 used the original air cooling configuration which draws air through the fan-cover bottom directly above the exhaust pipe. One Buddy 125 did require a replacement stator, but the other made it with only routine maintenance. That Scooter GuyBSFF

Most performance fans increase your performance by reducing the drag on the fan, which reduces cooling. Your engine gets hotter, but it spins a bit faster from less drag from the fan. Its a pretty crappy trade off.

Yeah that snorkel on the Buddy's fan shroud is a stupid plan. Air coming off of the header is certainly gonna be too hot.
If you have a way to do it, it's probably gonna make sense to remove that snorkel. I can see a myriad of potential stator problems coming from that configuration.

CE builds a similar snorkel and faces it forward to catch and direct incoming airflow directly into the engine fan. he builds them out of a piece of black plastic pvc thats about the perfect dimensions. it sticks out far enough to clear the body, and draw away from the exhaust.
