i got the nice ff helmet. only thing is it keep fogging up. i have opened up all the air fins and it doesn't help all that much. i am looking into a half shell for the summer. in Ct we do not require helmets but i feel safer having one. shoot i would even wear a 3/4 helmet with a faceplate. but because of the weather i wanted the ff helmet. any suggestions on a way to rid the fogging issue.

Try breathing through your nose and not your mouth . Clean it and Cycle Gear has anti fog wipes for 99 cents they work great . DO NOT GET RAINX !!! It does not work on lenses or eyeglasses even though it does on car glass , in fact mine fogged up more with Rainx and had to wash it off with hot water . I also have shield cracked open to get in air it helps . I have seen some helmets with rubber piece over the nose look like a pilot helmet and your breath goes out a vent instead of shield

My FF has the rubber nose piece. It will fog up if it's cold enough, or if relative humidity is high enough. Sometimes gotta ride with it clicked open one notch. Often just open it at stop lights when there isn't enough air flow.

In a pinch, saliva is a good anti-fogger.

outside temps are too low. mine fogs really bad until the temp gets above about 40 F. i do not have fogging issues at any other time.

a MC license holder here isn't required to wear a helmet either but i ALWAYS wear mine, and for a number of reasons. safety. eye protection. face protection. shields against wind and cold. shields against UFOs (no joke). unidentified stuff is ALWAYS smacking my helmet. there's nothing like watching a grasshopper twist and turn to avoid you only to splat into green goo on your visor.

wait til the temps rise enough, anything above 45 F and you should be fine.

When I go fast in the cold and when humid mine fogs . Keep it clean it fogs up less but the wipes at Cycle Gear are only 99 cents and last a week or so and also work on eyeglasses too . I have even thought of putting solar panels on mine to power a defrost lol . Yes I know it would require more than solar could provide . I think if you had a large vent for nose and mouth along with rubber piece like a fighter pilot should cut down some fog or a snorkle tube . Breathe through nose , open at stops and have shield barely ajar helps too . Dont you hate it when you go " whew etc " and fog it up yourself grrrr .

i've actually thought about doing this. the problem would be finding something suitable that would work. a "gas mask" would not work. maybe something along the lines of some type of "nebulizer" mask. they make the type that fits only over your nose.

Neat washing up liquid (detergent) wipe it on the inside of your visor then polish it off. Works on Specs too.

Clean the lens with eyeglass cleaner instead of ammonia based cleaners like Windex . Cycle Gear now has a spray that works better than the wipes . When its cold I crack open the face shield and it keeps cut down on fogging .
I bet a respiratory mask with an exhaust vent may work . I know if I breathe through my mouth it can fog as to why I mentioned earlier to try to breathe through your nose

Scorpion helmets do not fog. Most are DOT AND Snell rated, and can be had cheap online.

Large shells though so you will get a bobble head look.
