Do Not Buy From PartsForScooters.com !! They sell very low quality, often defective, parts as "performance parts". They also do not accept returns on these so called "performance parts". Please don't waste your money! Shop elsewhere!! It is true, they ship out the items extremely fast. Their OEM parts are of Chinese OEM quality. However, these are the only positive things I can say about them. I ordered a so called "Malossi Performance Variator". I recieved it in three days after the order. The parstforscooters.com website listed Vento Triton under supported models for this particular variator. The part I received does not fit my Vento Triton!! It is a very cheaply made no-name brand, not Malossi. Now they don't want let my get a refund/exchange!! CONCLUSION: Avoid partsforscooters.com unless you are ordering OEM cheap Chinese parts.

Did you really need to SPAM the entire board with this post? WE GET IT! You're not happy with Parts for scooters! You don't need to copy and paste it into every topic you see!

I can understand if you're mad at them, but I've never had a single issue with them. Most of their parts are quality, and they have very good prices. I've only had one issue, which was my own fault, and they cleared it up by calling ME so THEY could fix it! ;D As for "performance" parts from them, I wouldn't ever dream of ordering anything performance from them. If you want performance, go with sip scootershop or scooter-attack. Sure, it costs more, but it's real PERFORMANCE.

Ventos come with different shaft sizes just like they do with different wrist pin sizes. You can go roughly by year of which is which, but even that is certainly no guarantee. How does this become Partsforscooters, com fault because of Vento using two different shaft sizes?

Hey guys, my name is Matt and I'm one of the Managers at Partsforscooters.com. Normally we wouldn't comment on a thread such as this, but I honestly felt the need to if for no other reason than to say thanks for sticking up for us in this situation. We really do appreciate it.
We have asked 420ben to call us via email and voicemail after repeated attempts to call him have failed, as we would like to speak with him in regards to accepting a return on the part that he is having an issue with. Our Return Policy requires that we speak with him about the condition of the product before we issue an RA.
Unfortunately all of these unhappy posts occurred before we had an opportunity to contact our customer, so we would like to apologize for creating in some capacity the spam situation that we now have here.
And just to throw this out there, the part in question is a Hoca brand part, which are a Taiwanese product, and as 2strokd has mentioned they really are a pretty good quality part for the money. We are very happy to be able to carry this brand, and will be looking to do a better job of getting the name out there a bit more after being quite impressed with their quality.
To wrap this up, please remember that on pretty much any part that any of our customers need to return or have questions about, please call us. We are by no means unreasonable, and are more than happy to work with all of our customers to reach a fair resolution. We are not in the business to make our customers unhappy.
Thanks for your time guys.
Matt

Just wanted to give another vote of confidence to PFS. I have placed many orders with them. I actually own or have owned three of the variators 420ben refers to. If you pick the correct one for your application it's not an issue. An educated consumer knows the vehicle he's buying for. What 420ben didn't know was that Vento Tritons actually do have 2 sizes of crankshaft splines, as 2strokd pointed out, so PFS is not wrong for saying they will fit Vento Tritons. They won't fit them all though. PFS does provide measurements to show you waht you're getting on many of their products, which you don't find at many sites. The Hoca stuff is a great product that they offer at a pretty good price. I have recommended them to other people on this forum and my forum. I recently purchases a Hoca performance rear pulley set from PFS and it was a pretty nice piece at a reasonable price as well.
I have had one problem with PFS (been dealing with them since I had a cateye pocketbike, probably not long after they opened their doors). That was a part that I ordered that didn't include something it was supposed to. I called and a friendly rep had the missing part shipped right out at no charge to me. I'd say it was as close to hassle free as possible in that situation. PFS is one of the sellers I trust the most. I've ordered a lot of scooter and pocket bike parts over the years, and if you think you are seeing poor parts and service there you really need to experience some of the nightmares I have with dealers. I've seen parts covered with rust, broken parts, sellers that take your money and never send the parts then won't answer any form of contact, etc... I only wish PFS carried more high-end Polini, Malossi, Stage 6, Yasuni, etc... stuff.
EDIT : Thread now moved to the appropriate section. I have deleted the posts that I would consider spam in other areas. I left the copy/paste posts in threads pertaining to PFS, but there is no need to copy/paste the same comment into every thread you come to 420ben. You are welcome to post your opinion, but DO NOT POST THE SAME COMMENT IN EVERY THREAD YOU READ!

my name is Matt and I'm one of the Managers at Partsforscooters.com Why do you NOT offer diaphragms for the GY6 125/150 carbs? This is the dominate "wear item" in the carb, yet they are not included in the repair kit or as a separate item.

I'd like too give another vote of confidence for partsforscooters.com. I think they are one of the best suppliers out there. I order from them all the time, and because they're warehouse is close to me, I usually get my parts in 24 to 48 hours. Now thats service! I have never gotten anything from them that I thought was of poor quality either. I have yet to have to return anything, but I always try too take measurements BEFORE I order anything so I can avoid that. I worked in the Auto Parts business for 20 years and I can tell you that the books are not always accurate. Since we are dealing with a Chinese product you can be sure that the parts catalog ( if there even is one) is not going to be 100% accurate.

The variator I bought is not damaged or used at all. How could it be damaged when it will not even fit on the scooter? I found the part I needed on another scooter parts site.
Parts for scooters is still refusing to give me a refund.
Does anyone here want to buy a 13mm variator for $70?

You are right that we didn't have those diaphragms displayed. Here is the PN: 164-259 www.partsforscooters.com/169-245-Rubber-Boot_2 MSRP 4.99 It may say out of stock right now, but they are sitting on my desk. 90GTVert - Thanks for the help. I can't say much yet, but rest assured that the availability of high end parts is way up there on my priority list right now. I'll be busy at the Indy Dealer Expo this weekend for sure. And please everyone, if we aren't supporting an area that needs some help, please let us know. We'll take all of the feedback we can get.

Just a little friendly advice 420... From what Matt from PFS says, you may consider calling them (1-866-478-8700) if you haven't already. You may wanna make an ad for the variator in the flea market section to sell this if you don't solve the issue by talking to PFS. The Malossi stlye variators are $49.99 + $5.05 shipping (to me anyway) for a total of $55.04. You can try to sell it for whatever you want, but you might have better luck if you dropped the price a little.

Amen, I think Parts For Scooters does a fine job. From what I can tell, all 4 of our local dealers buy from them. It did take a long time to get my carb kit, though, the scooter was in the shop for over a week, Robert said it was just waiting for parts. Maybe this will remedy itself as more GY6 engines hit the local market... I hope the folks from Parts For Scooters can attend our picnic in April. We're having it on Sunday so our vendors can come.

I ordered an oil cap from a dealer, they sent me a clutch bell! A little hard to mix those two up. So when I called and complained, they sent me an oil cap that must have come off an H-D, it was like 3X too big!
But that was NOT this dealer.

I have said it before elsewhere and I will say it again here, I have never had a problem with any aspect of ordering from Partsforscooters, I can't speak to their return policy because I have never had to return anything. I have talked to Matt on the phone before concerning dealer pricing and so forth and found him to be courteous, friendly and above board. A pleasure to deal with! Keep up the good work Matt.
To 420 all I can say is want a little cheese to go with that whine? Matt opening said to call, I don't think you are giving us all the information. Besides you trying to sell a $50.00 part for $70.00, whats up with that?

Partsforscooters.com is ok in my book. They answer every email. ship fast, and prices are good. The only thing I wish they would do is list the manufacturer of each product and give a bigger description of the part. With a better description there is less likely a customer will look to return the product. One line about a variator really doesn't say much. My $.02

This is so much fun, The problem is I never got my Ninjas, who do I complain too? ?? Jim You've got to get used to those Chinjas. Granted, they're copies of Ninjas.... the fit and finish is not quite as good, but if you make sure they're kept full of beer they are quite usable. And don't get me started on the pricing; why you can get 3 Chinjas for about the price of one Ninja. PS. Jim....I heard your's were held up by Customs. Something about their fighting stars made with lead paint. I'm sure they'll be along anytime now.

Thanks for the continued feedback. This is turning into a great thread for me. Maybe I should be thanking 420ben for getting angry at us and then getting me involved, but more on this below...
Over the last several months we've realized that our lack of part information has been hurting us, particularly our lack of mention of the vendor that is producing the parts that our customers purchase. Over the next several months you should see this change.
I myself haven't been with partsforscooters.com for very long, but my background is with one of the BIG powersports distributors, so we'll be looking to change some of the way that we present our product mix, hopefully to make it easier to use or site and to order the parts you need correctly.
We are working very hard to make sure that our order fulfillment is better, with fewer mistakes in the product that we ship out, but we have made many of such a mistake, and for that I apologize.
And finally, as for our customer 420ben, he refused to call me (although he did send me some pretty stank sounding emails) after we reached out to him, so I was not able to resolve his issues with us. I provided him a Return Authorization minus a 20% restock fee because we could not verify the condition of the part. We are awaiting the return of the part currently. Given the unfortunate situation, I feel that this is fair.
Matt
