Hello everyone, I'm looking into buying my first scooter(50cc) but I know nothing about engines or the brands, but I have about $800-$900 to spend and I found the Biella 50cc online @ GreenEarth and I thought it looked very nice. I'm just worried about spending nearly a grand on something and getting ripped off or being dissatisfied with my purchase. I planned on paying a scooter mechanic here in town to do the full PDI on it. I just wanted to get some opinions before shelling out the dough, and any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Have you thought about a used 50cc locally? You could check one out or if you're not overly knowledgeable about scooters take a friend along who is. Craigslist is a great resource for good used scooter deals. You can get an older Yamaha, Honda, Buddy, Kymco or Sym 50cc for the amount of money you have to spend. My wife's Yamaha razz was $625 and runs perfectly. Older Japanese scooters from the late 80s or 90s are a real bargain.

Well they will get you the bike.
But support and warrentys you should consider yourself on your own. That was my exerience with them in 2009. Maybe they have improved since then?
