Hello everyone, I am a newbie to this so any help would be greatly appreciated!!
I am wanting to buy a 50cc scooter for my wife's birthday. The one that I have pretty much decided on is the 2010 Biellal 50 from Greenearth Scooters. I am looking for anyone who has experience with this scooter or similar. Or if someone thinks there is a comparable scoot that is better I would like to hear about it.
Also, who is the manufacturer of Greenearth's scoots? Are they reliable if maintained properly?
Thanks for the help everyone!!

Hello Klawson83 I bought my scooter from Green Earth Scooters , the same one pictured in this post below, it's a Dash 50. 2010 Model, Purchased 10/11/2010 Delivered 10/15/2010. I can tell you that Green Earth Scooters is a Dealer for "Peace PowerSports INC.". GES says on their website they are the manufacture, but that is not so, the actual manufacture of my Scooter is Chongqing Astronautical Bashan Motorcycle Manufacturing Co. LTD. According to the Certificate of Origin. I'm not really sure what to tell you, communication is not thier strong point, I had problems with my scooter out of the box, I called them and they did at one point send me a new carb, however it took almost two weeks for it to arrive. I was mostly on my own. When I called them they never returned my call, even when they said they would. I'm an industrial mechanic by trade, but was new to these small engines, I'm going to be absolutely honest with you, I have many posting here of the problems I had, GES was aware of my problems, and did little to help/ The most frustrating part is having your scooter torn apart in your driveway, completely at a standstill waiting for a promised call that never came. They always answered the phone so if i called them back for that call and so long as I didn't allow them to say we will call you back, I got some help. Yes I'm very happy with my scooter now, it runs good and is reliable, but if it were not for Scootdawgs and much of the advice from many great posters here, as well as myself being a mechanic, I would still be waiting for GES.. Getting the new scooter to me they did great, but after the delivery if you are not a good mechanic, and are willing to deal with any issues that arise, I'm not sure I could recommend them.. Good luck, I do love my scooter, but if you buy one, In addition to the PDI they send you, replace all the fuel and vacuum lines, replace the spark plug, check all electrical connections and put some dielectric grease on them, make sure your airbox is not broken before you let the delivery guy leave. If you have any other questions feel free to ask, and Good luck.. P.S. I really suggest you do a lot of reading in the section called Dealers the Good and the Bad.. You may find it helpful.. ;D

What about a TNG Venice? Does anybody have any experience with this scooter? I found one for about $800. Seems like a decent deal...

Since you're probably new to Chinese scooters I do have to ask how mechanically inclined you are. Since you're mail ordering it you should be able pretty familiar working with tools and perhaps have some small engine experience. Just saying as the warranty on mail order scooters is pretty thin. A lot of times people get burned out or overwhelmed when they have to keep chasing down problems.
If you're going to buy a new scooter and it's going to be 50cc, I'd also suggest maybe taking a look at a used name brand like a Yamaha Vino 50 or Honda Metropolitan. Both can be had used and in excellent condition near the price that you'll eventually end up paying after shipping and taxes/registration. You're less likely to run into mechanical problems and if you do you can always take it to the local name brand dealer to get it worked on.

Welcome to the forum. Do your research. Look for a good dealer, read the threads in our Dealers good and bad section. LINKIf you order online do a proper prep on it, even if the dealer say they do a PDI. The PDI from almost all online dealers is not a complete procedure. Some of our members have been saying good things about this place. www.superiorpowersports.com/50cc_scooter_sale_s/37.htm

The first place to look is www.craigslist.orgThere are many bargains there, both Chinese and Japanese used models. If you want to buy from a great online dealer who has great communication skills and stands behind their product 100% www.gsmotorworks.com1-888-400-3253 Steve is in charge of sales and John is the parts guy. You say you're from Scootdawg and they will treat you well.
