Ive put that power pack on several scoots it works great take your time and do it right you'll need to make a bracket for the exhaust send the seller a message to send you a 95 jet or you'll get an 88 which is to small

Thanks for the heads up on that. I did forget to mention that this is a tao tao t3 scooter. I will ask for a 95 jet. I have talked to the seller a lot of back and forward messaging to make sure it is custom to what I want and need to the scooter. He has added parts for me and we have made a whole package deal at 200 dollars even. I am ready to buy it, I just wanted to make sure that I wasn't wasting my money on something that will make the scooter blow up in 5 hrs of run time. How fast will tho kit make the scooter go? Thanks

make sure you get the right valve size my tao had 69mm valves, i had those parts on mine before i decided to go up to a 52mm piston and hoca big valve head, mine did 48 gps that was as fast as my gearing would allow. It will have way more torque and accelerate way faster and hill climbing will greatly improve. don't run the mess out of it at first and i always let the scoots run for 20 minutes after installation before i give it gas

That all seems like a little bit more than i was wanting to spend. After all that work the scooter doesnt even hit 50 mph? Its nice to go faster. What does that gear do and were does it go? Not to familiar with cvt trans but i can put the clutch and weights in. Also, on this 100cc bore kit, is it 100% necessary to put the oil pump they give you in. I also plan on putting an aftermarket clutch in it with the tighter springs. I guess almost 50 mph wil be fine. Its going to be a gift anyway.
Thanks

Read this 49ccscoot.proboards.com/index.cgi?action=display&board=4help&thread=3849&page=1#55014[/quote. The Tao Carb is not really sealed on my Tao 150 and I assume the 50 s are the same. The screws they use are designed so the screw head twists off when the proper torque is achieved. If you take a dremel tool with a thin cutting blade and slot the screw and the flange on the float bowl you can unscrew the screws easily. I have had mine apart several times to rejet with no problems. I have a previous post with pics showing how to do this. Even if you have to buy a cheap dremel tool it is still way cheaper than a new carb. Plus you will have the tool for future use.

Just realize the more mods you add the less reliable your engine will be. The BBK's just shorten the life of the engine. I only added a BBK and performance CVT weights on mine and 10,000 miles was all the engine could take before the crank went. It's usually the first ting to go, either your crank or cennecting rod bearings.
If you read about the many posts about bbk's I was lucky too to get 10k miles. 6000 miles is more the average.
And honestly past just installing the bbk the performance returns are kinda minimal. I could reliably get 45 mph out of just the bbk and performance cvt. I even kept the stock intake and exhaust to keep my mpg's good.
Adding intake and exhaust might get you 47 mph and then regearing might get you just over 50. But then you have to realize the engine will fail just that much scooner so if you're relying on this bike for transportation you'll be spending a lot of money quite often keeping the engine running in good condition. Most of the people doing the more extensive mods are doing it as much for a hobby.
The best advice is if you need to go fast just get a bigger scooter. If you like building engines and experimenting, go nuts but don't expect long term durability or reliability.

Thanks for all the input guys. What else can I do to speed the scooter up besides a bore kit? I plan on getting a performance clutch. Are 6.5 gram rollers good? What's the best set up? What about belts? I need one because mine snapped trying to get it off.
Thanks
