 Shanghai Meitian Motorcycle
« Thread Started on Nov 3, 2009, 4:53pm »

Have a Shanghai Meitian scooter. MT50Qt-3, year 2005. It will not start. Put new battery last month. New spark plug. Do not have manual and have a little over 5,000 miles on it. Have not had any major work done on it. Have in shop, been in for 3 weeks, need a manual with specs and parts. Any suggestions?

bit more details are needed as far as what it does do. i have a meitian scoot myself and for the most part it uses pretty standard 50cc scooter parts.

Really need more info to tell, but if it is trying to start (like the starter is trying but it won't fire) then it sounds like a valve adjustment to me. Might be worth checking even if it's not trying to start with the milage it has on it and you say no major work done on it - have you ever adjusted the valve lash?
