I have the 72cc kit. Can you use the same head with the larger kit or do you need the larger head? I was going to put it on my wildfire.

Yes you can use your stock head with no issue.

Should I be concearned with crank bearing failure? She runs great now. The reason I ask is this is my only transportation and I average 50-70 miles a day. I have already replaced the crank once after 12kkm. Runs great with all other mods and no parts left over.

Not with a 72cc. As long as you dont go nuts and ride wide open all the time, you should be ok. That and make sure you jet your carburetor appropriately as well.

I got her all put back together with the 72cc. She runs great! I'm guessing my top speed is a little over 50mph @8000 RPM. I weigh 195. She climbs up to speed with no slow spots during accelleration. I read in another thread that I should be using a #88 jet or is a #85 good enough? Will I get better performance or is the larger jet to keep from burning a hole in the piston or both?

Do you have a free flow airfilter on it? If so a 88 is mandatory if not you might be able to get by with a 85.

Yes I do. Well I guess you could call it that. What I did was I bought a valve cover breather for a car(medium size) cut out the opening to allow more air flow. I left enough of the nipple to attach a piece of the original breather as an adapter. If you cut the piece a little in front of the oil vent tube(approx 2") the little cap fits right back in. This way I don't have to remove the air box. I leave it on as a backup. I guess ordering a 88 is next. Thanks for the help!

Another question: What types of damage can occur when using a 85 jet instead of a 88 or 90? I really don't want to rebuild it AGAIN..It's too soon.
Thanks
Jim

A 85 will cause a lean condition. A lean condition makes your engine get really hot. When your engine gets hot rings, pistons, bearings, ect, fails.

great. I'm sure the jets will help. If not, it looks like it's crank replacement time. My guess is the damage is done. That's what I get for not having other transportation. I had to ride it anyway with too small of a jet. I hope the piston and rings aren't gone. Thanks for your help and prompt response!

Sure enough the bearings went! Time to open her up and see what I can salvage. Some times it's like I'm working on Humpty Dumpty!

Ok. All back together. New crank, and seals. I was able to reuse gaskets, piston, cylinder. It also fried my performance camshaft so I went back to the stock part. I found out (SAVE YOUR OLD PARTS!). They definitely come in handy. Thanks for all your help DAWGS! Tomorrow it's time to get my scoot on! ;D Jim
