Pic works. Nice looking scoot. I like the fiberglass frame cover around the seat instead of the ABS like mine. She's got the big boy tires. They may not be that big, but they look huge to me in that pic. Are those 10" wheels?

Yeah, they are 10inch wheels with allot of tire. They look like monsters, but are about the same overall size as common 12inch wheel tire setups. I do want to get a set of 12 someday though.

The front suspension looks so similar to my Triton's that a set of Trtion 12" wheels may be an easy swap (not sure). There are two 12" versions for Tritons too.

Im pretty sure they will work. The pic of the scoot with the GT5 wheels has the same pipe as mine, only ive cut mine apart twice now so the chrome isnt so pretty anymore. I like it though, adds character. Sweet scoot Vert! The one on the bottom isnt your is it? They both look sweet

The bottom is just a real GT5 from the net (no palm trees here in MD :(). I swapped mine to GT5 panels minus the fake carbon fiber, aluminum floorboard accents, and red seat. It's hard to see in the pic but the real GT5 has kinda cheesy lookin' imitation carbon fiber spoiler, gauge shade, and trim piece above the headlight.

I like the GT5 seat and the wheels are sick. A pair of them would look allot better than my "monster scooter" tires lol, and plain old steelies for wheels.

I had 2 of that bodystyle.
1st was a 150cc Tank sporty Euro. It was a screamer, but it drank oil like a 2stroke.
2nd was the Xpeed50 version with a 70cc and the toys...
I kick myself everyday for selling my Xpeed 2yrs ago!
She woulda looked sweet with that flat black/silver/red motif
Either one of them would have.

[image] I wanted to add another pic i took today. Im proud of my little 70cc. I got a set of jets i ordered today, did some tuning, ended up running a 85 main and a 32 pilot in my little 18mill mikuni. I put the stock airbox on with some small holes drilled for better flow( i couldnt run the K&N cone type with these jets). I took it out for a ride and joined the 60mph club ;D. I new i had messed up and drilled the stock jets out to much, but i didnt think it was that bad. With my over drilled jets i could run about 52 and coudnt hold it at WOT or it would bog. Now i can cruise 40 at about quarter throttle, and it runs smooth around the whole rpm range. I not trying to brag, i dont get into that stuff, im just glad my scooter is running better and it happened to hit 61mph today. I should mention that i weigh 160 and my scoots under 200, and i was tucked. I think shes got more in her, i just wish i had a tach cause ive never heard it wound out like that :-X

Congrats on that speed and performance. You see all the stuff I've done with a larger displacement motor and 70cc setups. The only time I've hit 60MPH was with a STRONG tailwind. Awesome man. Have a bone.

Thanks Vert, i couldnt believe it myself. I didnt even believe my speedo, so i went over to uncles place and asked if he wanted to ride. His scoot will pull him at 55(checked by car), and he couldnt keep up with me. I got real happy real quick. All that from jets, and a nice day. Now i need to get a tach, i want to know what kind of revs its spinning at 60+. I still aint got nothin on rallys 60+ runs with a 50cc. With, or without low-end thats impressive. Thank fer the bone

Thanks rally :)! As long as the shiny side stays up im good lol. All i really did to the pipe was cut it open and remove all the "walls"and extra pipe inside meant to make it quiet. It was a nice shiny pipe, but with all the extra crap inside the expansion chamber it was kinda pointless to me, quiet though. I also ended up turning the rear of the pipe about 10 or 15 degrees so the stinger wouldnt be directly on top off the pipe, it was puking on itself. I like it now 8-), not to loud and gets the job done. I also repacked the silencer with the FMF stuff. That quieted it down after i gutted it.

My flywheel puller came in yesterday so i figured it would be a good time to take my oil pump out. The puller went into the threads nice and smooth by hand. I went to snug it down by hand then grab a wrench when plop, the flywheel slid right off and almost hit the floor. It was barely even snug on the crank.?. I ended up stripping a screw head from the mag plate also. I noticed allot of dirt in and around the mag, and in the flywheel and couldnt help but think off that hole in the case and how it would be a good idea to plug or filter, and why they didnt from the factory. I ended up getting lucky with the stripped screw and only had to drill the head, took the plate off, then the rest of the screw came right out. I took the oil pump out and found a nice rubber plug that went in its place. It took more than i was thinking to spin this little pump. Its not tuff to spin, but for a small engine every bit helps. As far as the flywheel being what seemed loose to me, i ended up putting a little bit of a thicker washer behind the nut in hopes that it will push the flywheel on a little more snug.

The flywheel usually is pretty snug. I've never had it come off without using a wrench. As long as the nut tightens down and the woodruff key and keyway are snug it shouldn't be an issue. Since it seems like something may be just a hair off, if you ever have spark issues take a look at the pickup and flywheel alignment. Sometimes I have to use an impact screwdriver to get magneto screws out the first time. Chinese stuff tends to have crappy screws installed terribly tight into aluminum parts.

Nice venting. You said you may paint your clutch bell if the paint held up on mine. The paint is still there. It is a little flakey around the outer edge of the bell but nothing has chipped off. I've rode a couple hundred miles since I did it. Did you drill a hole through the center of the bearing in the CVT cover or is that something that was there stock?

I didnt check the alignment, after i put the flywheel on i fired it up. I should check it, could be more spark there. Glad to hear the paint is sticking. Im gonna paint mine as soon as i do some more cutting on the cover and get the paint. I kinda wondered if anybody would ask about my bearing hole lol. I drilled that to get the old bearing out, it was stuck and toasted so i drilled that hole to knock it out. That was the first repair i made on my scoot, a new driveshaft and bearings. Now i think i have a busted clutch spring or something cause it got noisy back there all the sudden.

If a clutch spring goes the clutch won't release, or at least that's what happened when one broke on mine. It ended up chewing up the clutch bell and clutch. It might have been fine if I had sense enough to quit... not me. I told someone to hop on the back and we'd see if it would wheelie off the line. Good sense is not my strong point.

You are supposed to use a blind hole bearing puller, but obviously your method works too. ;D

My noise ended being the drive shaft cover bearing. It walked out of its seat, this is the second time its done this to me. I use a socket and hammer to get it in there, and the driveshaft will walk it right back out. This time is was within 15 miles. I ended up JB welding it in. I dont like the idea but its the only thing i could come up with at the time. Ive put about 30 miles on since and all is well so far.

Got the tach put on. Its not the prettiest, or the best, but it works good and i could afford this one :).
Its got a half second delay but i dont mind it, im not shifting gears anyway. Going by this little tach im running at 10,300rpm at about 60mph, and i think it was in the high 7,s, low 8,s at 40mph. It seems to be pretty accurate to me. I like it ;D. Kinda funny, when i tuck down its right in my face.

Nice tach. Does that one have any backlighting? You and rally are right about the same specs for RPM and MPH.
